Which Way Did He Go?

Mark A Cella is one of the worlds prominent dream analysts. From his clinic and institute in La Jolla California, he is a highly sought lecturer and private consultant, giving keynote speeches at sleep research and psychiatry conferences in Berlin and San Francisco.

Today's Dream:Backward

To dream that you are walking or moving backward, signifies that what you are doing may be counter-productive. What you are seeking in life appears to be moving away from you. Thus you may be feeling a sense of failure or believe that you are unable to achieve your goals and aspirations. On the other hand, moving backward in your dream may symbolize that you should back off or retreat in a situation you may be facing in your waking life.

On The Move?

Today’s Dream: Packing

To dream that you are packing, signifies big changes ahead for you. You are putting past issues and/or relationships to rest and behind you. Alternatively, it represents the burdens that you carry.
To dream that you are packing, unpacking and packing and unpacking again, represents chaos in your life. You are having trouble juggling various components of your life. You are carrying around too many burdens but have trouble letting go some of these burdens. Consider what unfinished business you have to tend to. Try to resolve these issues so they can finally be put to rest.

Part 2

Bisexual motives can be observed in myths and religions as well as in dreams. Ancient divinities were often represented as bisexual beings ( A Sumerian statue of a male god also has breasts ). Egyptian Kings also carried a bisexual symbol of their power.
Most subjects provide us with homosexual dreams, as for instance, a dream in which a man is pregnant. One of my patients, a twenty-eight-year-old druggist, dreamed that he was a married woman tring to get a divorce.

Today’s Dream: Bisexuality Part 1

In a way, the sex expressed in our dreams is freed from the barriers of convention. It corresponds with our innate, pan-sexual predisposition. In our unconscious, in the psychogenic symptoms, and in dream images we all employ these primitive cravings. They are understandable to those who understand pre-logical types of thinking. Many Primordial drives re-appear in dreams. With them, bisexuality, cruelty, and cannibalism are often present.
